Give as you are led
Tithes, offerings, thanksgiving and harambee gifts all reach the same books, whether they are placed in the plate on Sunday or sent on M-Pesa during the week. Every gift is counted by two people, committed by the treasurer, and reported to the congregation each month.
Give by M-Pesa
- 1Go to Lipa na M-Pesa → Paybill.
- 2Enter the business number for the fund you are giving to (below).
- 3For the account, type the reference shown, then your name, e.g. TITHE Jane Wanjiru.
- 4Enter the amount and your PIN. Keep the confirmation SMS.
The treasurer records each M-Pesa gift in that Sunday's M-Pesa batch. Keep your confirmation message in case it needs to be traced.
Where your gift goes
Designated gifts are kept in separate funds and are never spent on anything else.
Paybill numbers will be listed here by the church office.
Other ways to give
- In the service: envelopes are at the door. Write your name if you'd like it recorded against your member number.
- Pledges and harambee: make a pledge at the office and pay it off in instalments.
- In kind: produce, building materials and equipment are received and entered in the asset register.
